Discovering Devised Dramaturgies

COMING SOON: a self-initiated residency to explore the role of dramaturgy within a devised making process.

Instigated by research done during my MA (Contemporary Performance Practices), I am interested in gaining insight into the various functions of dramaturgy within non-narrative + devised working practices.

Characterised by its fluid form, dramaturgy + the role of the dramaturg are still massively under-researched within performance academia. I am designing a practice-as-research project to read, write, and discover more about how dramaturgy shapes the work we make.
